The BIO-SEAFOOD Research Group start its journey from early 2017 on Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, University of Brawijaya, Malang, East Java Indonesia. Our mission is to establish an International Center of Excellence in the field of sustainable exploration of aquatic resources for food, feed, and health. We explore bioactive compounds, enzymes and their derivatives from fishery products and marine microorganisms. We are also interested in Seafood Processing and its biochemical safety in order to support food safety and security. Furthermore, valorization of fish by-products for the development of functional foods and biopharmaceuticals are also one of our main priorities. Finally, I am delighted to welcome you to the BIO-SEAFOOD. I hope we will contribute more to meet the future challenges in aquatic, fisheries and marine science sector for human welfare.
